From 1983 to 1987 he served as Head of the Private Office of the Rt.Hon. Sir David Steel MP, then Leader of the Liberal Party. He had previously been active as General Secretary of the Liberal International's youth movement, and was a founder of the European Communities' Youth Forum.

Graham Watson worked for the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation in their London and Hong Kong offices. He maintains an active interest in the Far East and is an Adviser to the Asia Pacific Public Affairs Forum.

The Right Hon Dr Denis MacShane MP
Denis MacShane has been Member of Parliament for Rotherham since May 1994. He was named a Minister at the Foreign Office by Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2001 and was deputy to the Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw and Minister for Europe from 2002-2005. He was sworn as a Privy Councillor in June 2005. He was born in Glasgow and educated at Oxford (MA) and London University (Ph D). He has a long standing interest in Bulgaria.
